I joined this forum just to post my response and thank you! 2005 Ford Five Hundred Limited. Your fix worked perfectly and I managed to actually soilder the connection properly! I had the same dash lights out and the reverse lights were stuck on. My mother the previous driver of the car had intermittent electrical issues weird stuff that may be due to the other similar points on the dash circuit board needing to be re-soildered. So gonna go ahead and fix those as well!
I am amazed when I find something like this online. Specific fix for a specific problem that without the internet would be impossible to discover on my own. Being one with very little automotive experience.
