2000-2007 Ford Taurus & Mercury Sable (4th Generation) • Missing bolt

Hi there. On my 2000 Ford Taurus SE 3.0 ovh I was replacing my water pump and in the process I've noticed that this bolt is missing and I don't think it's one that I took out. I'm 99.9% certain I didn't. Can anybody tell me what this might be. In the picture I'm uploading for this it is the hole below the one for the bolt to the water pump. Thank you very much.

Also. If you have the time to read this other part and give me your thoughts on this too.
I was driving my 2000 Ford Taurus SE 3.0 ovh on the highway and I started losing power in the gas pedal and I noticed the temperature gauge is going up fast and by the time I pulled over, just maybe 30 seconds it took, I let it cool down and I put water in the coolant overflow tank and I was able to make it home but I had to add coolant about five times to keep it from overheating. I pulled the water pump out just now and it doesn't look to be in too bad of shape. It spins and it is a little corroded but just surface corrosion. So I think it was really the gasket blown but I'm going to replace the pump anyway. Also there's a spot behind the main pulley going to the engine block that has a bunch of teeth that looks like with a sensor right above it. I can upload a picture of it but it just seems weird to have this cog looking thing with nothing on the teeth of the cog. Is there something I'm missing? And also could that lower bolt that is missing from my original question at the top of this, could that have been a spot where coolant goes through? Anyway thanks for reading
