https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFB1VJ15 this is the CarPlay/Android Auto unit I used. I liked the low profile with the recessed area - I didn’t lose almost any viewable area through the windshield.
I originally ran it over FM and it was ok but the signal was staticky, so I decided to do the aux mod. While I had the dash completely torn down, I ran the wires completely behind the dash. The 12v plug is powered off of the upfitter's harness power, which powers the radios and the all the auxiliary equipment. Made for a clean looking install. I did have to drill a hole in the dash tray, and in the process broke the plastic clips that keeps the metal tray attached to the plastic, but I epoxied the metal tray to the plastic and it’s all better now!
