Shop told me I got hair-line fracture in plastic, which jibs with slow coolant loss, even after Stop Leak.
I see Youtubes with guys taking it out the bottom after jacking up the front, but some say you got to take the entire front off. I guess I'm gonna try out the bottom. Once I did a water pump job on a '92 Saab 900, nuff said.
I guess I've got to get a Ford Kwik Konnect A/T hose tool from Harbor Freight. I only see Youtube on the problems with disconnect, what about CONNECTING? Do you just shove it in and it connects? Any problems with the CONNECTION? Seems like old hex-nut and threads system was just fine.
Is the lower Radiator Hose an epic PIA to replace on its own, so should I just replace while I've got it all apart? Any other things I might as well do?
Any recommended Radiators online or from national chain like NAPA that I can get in SF Bay Area?
I saw online Radiator that had "Automatic Temp Control?" as option. Could that matter as far as the actual Radiator? Wouldn't that only be some extra electronics in the dash HVAC switches???
I've also got very low heat so maybe Heater Core is blocked, so I might try a flush. Saw a Youtube where they say it might be air trapped in the Core, so jack up the rear, then front, while engine is running for a few minutes. Wouldn't going up then down a fairly steep hill do the same?
